Bringing an Understanding & Appreciation
The New Orleans Jazz
Centennial Celebration was created by the Louisiana Music Commission in
1994 to preserve, promote and strengthen jazz as a naturally occurring resource.
Through the use of public facilities and festivals for community concerts, exhibits and educational informances, NOJCC is implementing a comprehensive outreach program that brings a new understanding and appreciation of this original American art form to new audiences in Louisiana and throughout the world.
